OUR STORY
In North Yorkshire, near the picturesque village of Masham, we embarked on a mission with a purpose that went far beyond restoring a neglected woodland.
What began as a family amenity has developed into a small rural business committed to making a difference. ​Our goal is to transform our woodland into a healthy, well-managed, and sustainable source of timber while protecting the balance between forestry production and environmental stewardship.
In an age of global mass production our mission is to be different and to make a difference, one handmade 100% sustainable product at a time​.

This journey is about more than just timber, it is a commitment to responsible land management for future generations and a lasting positive impact on the local ecosystem. ​​
DEDICATED TO QUALITY
What truly sets us apart is our decision not to sell timber solely for biomass. Instead, we mill our own timber on-site and craft unique, handmade products that retain the carbon stored in the timber.
We work closely with partners and customers to create high-quality products for a wide range of outdoor environments, whether it's forest schools, domestic gardens, glamping sites, dog parks, or plant nurseries. Every piece reflects the character of the woodland it comes from, blending natural beauty with practical design.

Looking ahead, our vision is clear - To continue managing our woodland responsibly and crafting products that celebrate nature, support local ecosystems, and enhance outdoor spaces.
GROWN IN BRITAIN
Our standing timber is predominantly spruce (Sitka & Norway, with a sprinkling of Silver Birch). Our strong desire has always been to avoid the usual end products of biomass or firewood and, instead, turn what we have into a growing range of functional products – examples of which you will find in the “Gallery’ section.

We are immensely proud to be "Grown in Britain" certified (www.growninbritain.org) - a
status only awarded to woodlands which satisfy multiple eligibility criteria, such as having an approved Woodland Management Plan and conforming to the associated standards.

Achieving GiB certification was a milestone moment for us as it provides our customers with confidence that the products purchased from us are not only responsibly sourced & managed but are also in compliance with both the UK Government Timber Procurement Policy and the UK Forestry Standard.
